4. 1381 – Peasants Revolt

The Peasants Revolt happened in 1381, after the Black Death was over. Tax levels had risen extremely high, and in 1381 the peasants decided they had had enough. It was a key moment in History, as before this there had never been a rebellion, and it provided hope for future generations.

It was also the beginning of social change in England, and the country would not be how it is today if it weren’t for the Peasants Revolt.
